Are worstsubs watchable?

I was feeling a bit worried until the oppai dragon song kicked in, it wasn't especially funny but it made me glad they didn't drag out the "serious" part too much, it's alright I guess. And maybe it's been too long since I watched DxD (I watched as a horny highschooler) but I don't recall Rias being shy.

Do I need to watch previous iterations of this to enjoy the current season?

Yes. The first two seasons are good, season 3 they try turning it into a battle shonen and there is QUALITY everywhere, even in the BD version. This season they changed character designs, which bothers some people more than others.

It's up to you if you want to put that much time into an ecchi show. Kinda worth it if you like anime tiddies.

With the exception of the third season DxD has always been a silly but enjoyable show.

Which is better, this or High School of the Dead?

It's a bit of an apples to oranges comparison, since the only thing they have in common is ecchi. HotD is an odd blend of action and lewd, DxD is more of a comedy/battle harem.

I enjoyed both for different reasons.
