TANOSHII

BATORU

Unexpectedly, season 2 of Lostorage incited WIXOSS, so-title above, is airing right this second. Following hot on the heels of 2016's offering, itself a loosely-based sequel to the original Selector Infected WIXOSS, it tells a tale of SELECTORs and LRIGs, chosen cardplayers and their personified cards, as they fight against despair in a harrowing winner-takes-all death battle with their identities on the line for a chance to win wishes.

The franchise is adapted and initially launched with a (now) popular real card game, but gained some acclaim for being surprisingly legit. No knowledge of the game is necessary to enjoy, which is a godsend because the show sure as shit isn't telling you how to play it.

>WIXOSS,

I've never heard about this game till now.

Nip only. Back when the first/second season was airing, 4/a/ got a client or something up so that anons could play it. I'm not a cardfag, but from what I've heard it's fairly innovative for the genre with not too much powercreep.

You'll have to venture back to 4cuck or elsewhere to find more info though. I've long since lost all pasta and info, and our /a/, proving itself a cesspool as always, doesn't even have a thread up.

First episode was great. Touched upon and reintroduced me to what happened in S1, 2 years ago. Very grateful, since I had forgotten 99% of it.

Things are about to get real now that the bossbitch is back.

>weak sauce

watched s1 and some of s2, dropped it after I heard they were going to make more than 4 seasons of it. is it worth catching up?

 No.21319

>>21310

It's only 12~18 episodes, depending on where you dropped off, so I don't see why you wouldn't. S3 almost felt like it took place in a pseudo alternative setting. There was next to no recurring characters. Events of S1/2 were only alluded to. Plot and stakes, while superficially similar, were different in minutia. Still, what happened at the end of S2 was important and shapes the landscape going forth, so to speak, so you can't just skip it.

Last season wasn't as strong as S1, but not as weak and meandering as S2. Considering promotional images have all the major players showing up, and episode 1 ended with Ruuko showing up, I'm thinking this is the final ultimate season that wraps it up.

I dropped it after s1. They phoned in the meduka shit too hard, for my taste. I did like some of the character designs. Shame about the card game being shit.

Your grammar and formatting are suspect. Tread lightly, friend

So it's a legit innovative cardgame?

I'm glad ruuruu and aki-lucky are back, hopefully it will be better than Incited. Decent ep as far as recaps go.

I never got around to playing it myself back then, but it seemed pretty fun and a lot of anons played it.

>Stomping Kiyoi flat like she should

>Loses in a single round to some new bullshit rule she doesn't have access to or know about

This is bullshit. This is NOT okay. Give me back my Aki-lucky!

With all the characters, it's getting a bit challenging to remember who has had their memories wiped, or who is a former LRIG in a new body. To say nothing of all the tertiary side-characters. Whatever happened to Yuzuki's brother? Does Kurebayashi (in Yuzuki's body) still go out with him? Hell, what happened to Yuzuki in the first place? Wasn't she the ugly braided glasses girl's LRIG?
