Other than Japan I haven’t seen any major differences probably because the main concentrations of abdl are in Japan, Europe and North America with the latter 2 being too similar. If this thread does become active though you could probably use it to write a thesis at a really liberal university.

True, but it will be interesting as we get more internet users from non-Western countries coming along and whether there just do abdl as westerners do or demand different things, I think babyhood as become more homogenised worldwide though have noticed American terms becoming more common like Paci and Stuffies which I never heard when I was Young (I'm in the UK and am 23)

I think there are two linked factors at play here.

I look for and read websites presented in English.

By western cultures you might also mean 'those in which people are allowed to express this sexuality without fear of persecution'.

Linked to that, the Japanese have a different culture and approach to fetishes that is also accepting.

In short I suspect we see what we want to and don't need to fear our lives ending for deviancy.
