Why would it? I don't know for anyone else, but my fetish was part of me for as long as I can remember. I don't think the kind of pop-science that gets broadcast on TV has ever been "actually scientific", especially not in America. Cosmos was good, but I can't think of anything more recent which isn't more celebrity-focused than science-focused.

It got announced mid July. A live action movie with cgi characters is set to release some time in 2020. The actual cartoon series has no set date as of now.

Personally, imma pass on that movie, but I am very interested in how the cartoon's gonna be.
