I mean at what point does someone look at this pathetic attempt at creation and think "yep, that's a good layout for this, I'm going to go ahead and post it like that"?

If they went through the trouble to look for pictures and come up with that text, it would take absolutely zero additional effort (or skills) to simply fix the layout. It's just common sense.

Well that's already much better.

My advice: keep some consistent margin around the text (especially between the image and text), and try to keep lines between 40 and 80 characters long to keep is comfortable to read.

Also, put the title either at the top of the text or aligned to the image. It looks pathetic hanging out by itself in a random location by the top.

Finally, use a lighter / more muted color for the background. White is fine, a light muted color will give it a more polished look.

I'd probably go for 4. I'm sort of a switch myself so it makes sense (I think), and probably is the best of both world, but obviously all would be good.

1 is probably my more realistic dream (pretty into bedwetting, and it's probably one of the more rung in scenarios).
