So I was watching this TED Talk about the story of this man, basically he got sick, he had a problem in his brain who left him paralyzed and unable to communicate, although he was still able to understand everything around him -- but unable to communicate.

Everyone thought he was nothing but a vegetable, so therefore he was treated as, more or less, a baby.

And in a given moment he says that it was frustrating to be treated as a baby, and see people talking about him and if he wasn't there. And putting him to watch Barney and other childish cartoons.

i'm sure it was horrible and horrific… but I couldn't help to get a instant boner hearing his story -- I know, I'm terrible XD

Eventually he was able to show some capacity and awareness and they took him to a doctor and today he speak through a computer and has a family and so on….

At least in OPs case it can possibly be explained as:

1. they are too young mentally to understand what they are wishing for and as such are only thinking in the short term of what they want. Which I feel happens a lot in this fetish. So what I am saying is this thought process behind OP could be pretty much linked to a brain that is not fully developed.
