What's this nonsense I'm hearing about M4s going cloth-backed? Abena's site is advertising all of their briefs as being "air plus" now, but Amazon's M4 vendors still have the product listed as plastic-backed. Anybody know what's up with this, and why Abena would make such a fucktarded decision? Did they not see how it went with Kimberly-Clark?

M4s are my favorite diapers, and if they're going cloth-backed, now is definitely the time to grab some. I'm just worried that we're going to have a repeat of the Depends situation, where Amazon lists them as plastic-backed but ships out the new cloth-backed instead. I would be so pissed…

On an unrelated note: how do people feel about Northshore briefs? If Abena is going cloth-backed, I'm jumping ship. ConfiDrys are fantastic, but I'm not paying $35 USD for a bag of fucking diapers (and, despite their excellent fit when dry, they swell up very uncomfortably for me). I might go back to Tranquility ATNs, but I think I'm hooked on premium diapers.

Any other suggestions for alternatives? I've never tried any Molicares, so I could give them a shot. Heard mixed reviews about them, though.

I picked up some Northshores a couple weeks ago. Really like them. Decently priced for what you get, IMO.

I think I'll give those a shot. Northshore seems like a really reliable vendor, and I've heard their briefs are more or less on par with the M4s.

I'm really going to miss the elaborate wetness indicator designs. Dunno why, but that's a huge part of the appeal for me. Just something about the blue and yellow… followed by the green.

I ordered a 15-pack of the Northshore Supreme briefs and they threw in a 2-pack sample of the Air Supremes and a sample pack of wipes.

And there was a $3-off new customer code available, too. It popped up when I was going through the order process.

Are the NorthShores sized roughly the same as the M4s? I'm not sure what size to get, since M4s fit, but fit snugly. ConfiDrys ran a bit larger, so they fit wonderfully, but I'm reading mixed things about the NorthShores. Definitely don't want to buy these and have them not fit.

I've never actually been able to try plastic Abenas. Every time I tried ordering off various sites, they always came in cloth. Maybe they switched early in Australia.

I've heard people say that Abena was going to cancel the plastic-backed M4s forever. As far as I can tell there's no merit to these claims. Beth from (I think) Supply Solutions even said back in September that it wasn't being cancelled(at least in the US) on Twitter: https://twitter.com/bethwuvz/status/911194546301784064?lang=en

I don't remember. I've worn M4s before, but it has been so long that I don't fel comfortable saying either way.

Ordered through their site. Box was discreet, came quick. Ordered on a Friday afternoon and it was there by the next Wednesday or Thursday.

I think North America is still getting the plastic-backed. The Abena website advertises only the cloth-backed variant, and the Australian guy above said he's never been able to get the plastic-backed version over there.

However, when I posted the question on Amazon's M4 product page, I got several "classic M4s are always plastic-backed DUH" responses. I'm about to go get shitty in that comment thread lmao

Northshore with a large Northshore booster pad is as absorbent as an M4, but also with better wicking. Really good diaper and the low price makes it awesome.
