Our community largely started out perceived as a "joke" by the masses, but then that "joke" morphed into a kind of bastardized sincerity which in turn spawned the whole DDLG movement which then wound up further degraded into mainstream milking, which has created all kinds of crap, mostly starting from Miley Cyrus…

I'd say it's almost a kind of hybrid of adult babies, lolita, humiliation, bondage and "daddy issues". It's still forming though, like you can find a LOT of cam whore types all over FB and some of them wear diapers, some of them wear and use diapers, some of them deny using diapers… it's just… all over the place. There's no real definitive form across the board as of yet, the bulk of their offshoot community seems to be largely centered in "exploration mode" so to speak. A lot of it is sort of testing the limits of what they can get away with without being relentlessly hammered with hate and labeled as outright degenerates.

Maybe role playing in general, but that's always been overly pedestrian and superficial in nature and the tropes of which rarely have anything to do with diapers and being babied.

When it comes to role playing it often takes on forms like "girl next door", "girls in uniform", "naughty school girl" and the like… and they're normally treated as just… decoration. Like the whole point is just SEX… having sex, that's it. They're a way to dress up pedestrian level sex into a marginally more interesting form.

They're definitely not fetishes in and of themselves. That would be like trying to call hyper-mess pictures a fetish… no, that's just a way of decorating an adult baby fetish.

DDLG, right now, isn't really a "thing" yet, I mean it's working on ~becoming~ a "thing"… it's trying, but it's still in the early formations. It might just wind up a random fetish fad rather than anything truly sustaining. Sort of "adult babies in denial"… and once their end of the spectrum gets over that denial they'll center more in the ABDL side of things.

Which is seems to be where things are heading. Most of the YouTube cam whore types have gone through this sort of transition of "I DON'T WEAR DIAPERS!" to "OMG I TRIED MY FIRST DIAPER" to "I DON'T USE MY DIAPERS!" to "OMG I PEED IN MY DIAPER FOR THE FIRST TIME" to "I USE DIAPERS LIKE A BABY!"

…soooo, yeah, not really sure the whole DDLG thing is even going to last long term. It's mostly just a way for certain people to try and distance or separate themselves from something that's perceived as being more taboo.

In this particular case I never claimed to have "invented" the term DDLG nor "Little" for that matter. I was of course the first person in this community to coin the term "Little", originally using it for a website and FaceBook page name.

In any event you don't "invent" such things, that's not the correct terminology. I didn't "invent" the word "Little", a word that's been in the English language since… pretty much forever.

What I did was develop a SLANG usage of an EXISTING WORD. Creating a new connotation is not "inventing" anything.

Essentially it's the difference between a PATENT and a TRADEMARK… which I understand some of you kids have a LOT of trouble understanding.
