So I've been using Abena Abri-Form M4s for a bit now, and EVERY single time, they leak. I think I've had one time where it didn't leak at all. I was using drug store diapers beforehand and they leaked too but I figured it was because they're cheap. I kept hearing that Abenas can hold multiple wettings from most people, wtf am I doing wrong? Last night I had the worst leak yet, everything was soaked. Diaper, outside of diaper, pants, towel, bedsheets under the towel… everything :(

Am I doing something wrong? I make sure the leak guards are standing when I put them on and the material around my legs is flat, and tape snugly but not too tight. I'm a bit overweight so the fit around the stomach/waist can be a bit tricky but everytime they've leaked it's started around the legs. And the leaks are just from one full bladder, not multiple wettings.

Any advice, or tips on fitting diapers snugly? Do I just have a freakishly large bladder capacity? I'm female if that makes any difference to the fit.

(forgot to add oops) I was considering adding a booster, but was worried they'd still spring a leak around the legs anyway since apparently that's happening without much liquid at all

Try drinking more water maybe. Abena's have super absorbent polymers which absorb better/faster and hold better when there's less salt content in your urine and the more water you drink the more diluted your urine will be. So you might wet more, but they'll hold it a lot better.

Could also be a matter of fit, they might not be fitting tightly enough in your crotch area, so it could be you need a smaller size or try wearing something over the top, like an all in one washable diaper.

Using a booster might help in that regard too.

Flooding is bad, and will make the highest end diaper leak.

And yeah, being overweight can make the fit less good as well. I know the skinnier folk I've hung around with can wear the mediums and use them quite a bit before really having to worry about leaks.

But, as a female, if you go and dump your bladder as quickly as possible, you WILL leak, no matter how good your diaper is. Go more slowly.

I think I might have broken him. He's just spamming last year's memes onto every thread he comes across now.

Strange. I have a pepis and feel like M4s fit better and leak less than others

I seriously don't get the hype around Abenas. Whether I flood them or slow drip of a catheter they are always the first to leak. I think it might just be a case of babbys first premium diaper
