So I tried to find the previous thread for the omupan.com store location (I think its the store that has a pic of a japanese lady in a diaper walking around doing inventory) and had little luck, as well as the other one kaikodo and wanted to see if any anons knew of the locations or have been to any in tokyo

visiting with a partner who speaks japanese and is into it so could be fun if we can find any of them

I was in Yokohama a few years back, and I knew there was an ABDL store there, I send them an email in plain simple english telling them I was interested in going to the store to buy stuff and never got a reply, was really dissappointed.

I went to the Kaikodou last year when I was still in Japan (website: http://www.kinet.or.jp/kaikodo/kaikodo.html). It is near Tsunashima station and you can actually find it on Google Maps if you search with the right kanjis ;)

I recommend that you send a mail or give them a call to let them know that you are coming and to make sure that the store will be opened when you do so.

I remember reading on their website that they prefer giving the exact location of the store only if you contact them first. I am not sure they are aware that Google Maps already knows it all :p

Anyway, they don't speak English and really prefer to have someone speaking Japanese if you come. It's not like they don't want foreigners in their shop (actually, I asked if there were other foreigners that came to buy some stuff and apparently I was far from being the only one), I think they are just afraid that the language barrier would simply be too much.

Also, they don't want any trouble and people coming to simply "visit" so there is also this that may be at play.

Anyhow, nice people and great products, I wish I could have bought more before coming home!

I've bought a couple of things from Japanese sites, namely Omutsu & Pants ( http://www.omupan.com/ , https://twitter.com/rafine_itou ) and Feline Babies ( http://fb.omport.cc/ https://twitter.com/FBabies_shop ). O&P have a better range in designs, fabrics, and customizations, but FB has some cute covers from time to time.

Easiest way to do it is using a shipping service: they can translate the request and help sort out any issues, and don't cost a lot to use. They also have stuff available on auction sites:

https://buyee.jp/item/search/yahoo/shopping/store/rafine/popular?category=1

https://auctions.yahoo.co.jp/seller/tnos373

Only issue is price. You're looking at $70+ for a basic cover, and lot more for clothing. But they are quality handmade items and ship within a couple of weeks.

I've also had a look into physical stores because I'm going there in July, but so far not much. There is an omutsu event that happens every so often called OmuFes; the next one is in November. But from what I've seen it's just a small market with a couple of girls modelling things.

Holy shites that omupan could just eat up all my money if I had any at the moment… I wouldn't know what to order first, and I would probably want them to surprise me with the fabric because overwhelmed by choice, and those ¥50,200 bodysuit/rompers look amazing.

Any idea if they ship to NA, and how much it would cost?

Probably less the English and more the type of store.

I had kindergarten-level Japanese and supplemented with simple English when I went to Japan. I got email replies from folks who spoke less English than than I spoke Japanese, probably sitting there with a dictionary. Some backwater places with thrilled to have a foreigner at their little town for a couple of days. We were like a local attraction, it was funny and fun.

HOWEVER- sex shops are not for gaijin. We don't know their decorum and a Japanese person would feel incredibly anxious with us just being in the store with them. For one thing, we make an already uncomfortable situation (being in a fetish shop) more uncomfortable. For another, we're considered "uncleanish." They don't want to think about us when engaged in sex stuff unless that's their particular fetish, in which case they'd be at a foreign hostess bar, not at that shop- they'd feel a little less upset (but not much) than a neo nazi would seeing a black man while he was buying fetish stuff.

So, yeah, not a language issue. You're not wanted in that kind of area. Though they're generally happy to see us in certain forums, they're always a bit racist (don't forget that).

9fc743 (4)  No.53659>>53661 >>53710

>>53658

Let me supplement:

Commercial sex shops are fine. Like, high-traffic dvd and porno mag stuff down in Shinjuku, yeah sure. It's the hostess bars, soaplands and specialty shops (Baby-Play, Groping) that don't want us. I accidentally stumbled on a weird edge-shop once and the poor proprietor looked so upset (well, as upset as a Japanese person will let themselves appear to a stranger, which means strained but polite) until I left. He didn't have the stones to ask me to leave and was just pleading to the heavens none of his customers came while I was in there. I had a quick look, noticed his demeanor, and got out of their for him.

Got any "yankee go home comments"? I've heard that insult has been a huge trend there lately.

if you use a shopping service, they ship worldwide. it's a little tricky entering the address, but not too hard. a lot easier using an auction site (which still allow custom orders) where the service are essentially buying the item for you before sending it out.

it's like an extra $5 - 40 depending on how fast you want it shipped, though there may be import taxes

should have mentioned, but sizing is really good. they go fairly high, but definitely measure yourself instead of going off standard S/M/L sizing

3e63f3 (3)  No.53710>>53727

>>53658

>a bit racist

yeah, I used to mind about that but I think its part of their culture so fuck it

I did visit a couple of sex shops while I was there and I never felt being out of place or overly stared or anything like that… may be its because it was a "regular" sex shop? nothing so tabu as AB/DL or anything related?

Anyway, that kind of explains why I didn't get any reply from them even though I tried to write a simple mail explaining that I was interested in visiting their store to purchase several items from them. Hell, I even saved about 600usd just to go crazy on the off-chance of finding the place </3

>>53659

>Baby-play, Groping

could you please elaborate on this?

5a46b5 (4)  No.53712

I'm thinking the uncomfortable tension might come more from thinking a random clueless foreigner stumbled on into a niche sex shop by accident, not quite understanding where they're even at and having it potentially create some rather awkward repercussions and potentially negative attantion for them and their business.

bcba7d (2)  No.53718>>53720 >>53728

>>53630

I am not sure what you mean by "hows sizing". Their website provides a bit of info about that but ultimately I guess it depends on your body type.

I was not sure myself when I got there the first time so I just asked what size would be best for me once I was at the shop. The woman owning the shop asked her husband and gave me her opinion. Eventually, we made sure by having me try the diaper cover over my trousers so we could get a rough idea of what size would be best.

Bottom line is, they are very nice people and they will help you pick out items if need be. I remember that she suggested me a various set of designs when she saw that I was kind of lost before the amount of choices I was given (and I was very lost, so much good stuff… but so little money at the time…).

>>53658

Did not get this feeling at the Kaikodou but I guess it depends on who's running the shop and what kind of unspoken rule there are. First time I went at the shop, a Japanese guy happened to come at the same moment and I did not feel like I was a problem for him at the time. He greeted me politely and he did not seem that surprised to see me. He was there to pick up an order so he chatted a bit with the owner and left after a few minutes. No big deal from my point of view.

Anyway, I know it's just an example and I can see how you could feel out of place or feel like being seen as an obstacle by other Japanese customers. I could feel this kind of thing in more "normal" situations so I could see why it could happen in a fetish shop and why you could feel like you're not welcome there.

In any case, in the end, you're still a customer so if you stay respectful there you should not be any problems.

The best one is groping. They have the interior of a room made up to look like a subway car where you can fake-group a paid girl in an office lady or high-school uniform.

They also even have sex-doll rental shops.

Again, the less common ones don't want foreigners so much.

9fc743 (4)  No.53728>>53730

>>53718

Did not get this feeling…

I'm speaking in generalities as to why the guy didn't get his email reply

Not all Japanese are a certain way, I'm just talking the vibe I got from most, along with similar studies and comments from others who've been down the Nippon way.

They're also way more accepting in say, Tokyo, than Kyoto. People in Kyoto were downright disdainful of us polluting their heritage city where, in Tokyo, it's just business and they're pleasant to everyone.

One hotel I had in a little city they actually built an out-building so the gaijin weren't using the same bath as the Japanese but in another city they loved foreigners and gave us the biggest welcome ever.

I think the main difference to say, the Western Word, is that the non-racist Japanese don't think there's anything wrong with being racist, they just think foreigners are cool. And the racists can be openly racist, within the confines of being socially subtle about dispproval. Most foreigners can't even tell when they're being insulted since the Japanese would never issue insult directly, they just make vague allusions.

As long as you understand the subtle way the Japanese generally show disapproval - then I'm sure your read was right on your particular situation.

Well, it's probably a lot better now. When my mom went to Japan in the 70s the tour guides specifically warned everyone to be on their absolute best behavior and to expect some degree of animosity from the locals. And she said some of the people there were outright rude, like not normal reserved Japanese rude, but like outright contempt.

She didn't have any problems anywhere else in Japan though, although she said she did notice a fair degree of racism towards non-Japanese Asians (especially the Chinese)… not sure if it's still like that now.

Oh and they used to have instructions on how to use western toilets… because apparently that was still a fairly new thing for some Japanese back in the 70s.

She brought back a whole ton of stuff (like entire crates with Japanese furniture), but most of my favorites are the little things, like the ivory carved netsuke and the kabuki ones where you can spin/flip their heads over to a different expression.

She also did this doll making course thing where they teach you how to make traditional Japanese dolls. All the ones attached are ones my mom made herself.

The Japanese tend to enjoy sharing their culture, especially with westerners, so the more you act like you want to listen and learn the more they'll like you.

Hey Guys so a follow up I ended up hitting up kaikodo with the GF and it was a bit of an adventure

the listed googlemaps location was spot on (its the red building) but unfortunately we didnt tell them about sizing and I ended up with some tight fitting covers.

A note to make however the GF was speaking with them and they told her that a week prior a bunch of dutch and english speakers came out and really rubbed them the wrong way, and we were told they werent too thrilled with having foreigners visit since then

but basically the guys opened up a bunch off the packages without asking and pissed them off, so try to be polite to the old couple that runs this place

that said the quality is very nice and they were accommodating, will probably go back when i visit again, posting pics later of the covers

Aren't there any shops selling these omutsu covers in western countries (EU in my case)? This is so frustrating…

I'd like to order from Japan and I don't even see money or the purchase process as a problem. My biggest concern is to have to run to a customs office or that the packaging is too evident. Things like these can ruin your reputation.

If someone knows any safe ways or want to get rid of his/her japanese style diaper covers, pleeeaase let me know!

aa432a (2)  No.58163>>58208

>>58160

all the orders i've had from japan, even from different companies, come in typical brown boxes, and usually quite small if it's just a cover. and the shipping service i use marks the item as clothing on the customs form. the only thing that could be suspicious is that it's from japan, and the cost of the item.

for covers like that, try omupan.com. they have A LOT of fabric and style options, though the website isn't fully translatable and not the clearest. if you use a shipping service they can message between you and the company for specifics

8b36cf (1)  No.58208>>59412

>>58163

Thanks a lot for the information but all offers on omupan are above the tax free amount of my country. This implies I have to get to the nearby customs office and open the packaging in front of the officials in order to check the bill. That's basically how it works here and I'm honestly angered by this.

It's somewhat problematic since I have a good public reputation to loose (even if the officials must follow discretion principles). I just want to prevent rumors at all cost.

I guess the only remaining option is to obtain a sewing pattern, adjust it to my size and start DYI work. I basically know where I can discretely obtain the materials.

Samefag here!

I now bought all the supplies - cotton outer layer, pvc inner, elastics, bias tape, color snaps - and EVEN A SEWING MACHINE!!! (which I intend to use for other household jobs as I'm a DYI fanatic)

The supplies alone add up to roughly 20-25$ including shipping. Most can be bought from Amazon, I got PVC bulk stock from a fetish shop.

In the meantime I was experimenting with patterns and I think now I've found my fit!

The sideguards are a challenge though….

If someone's interested, I can post my pattern and an instruction for sewing all together.

You will have to print out the pattern on paper and try first before sewing anything. Otherwise, it will not fit at all!

I will post again once I've finished the cover!

Thanks for the interest! I attach my pattern here.

But be aware that this is something I just figured out by approximation! I didn't test this pattern out before!

Also I'm approx. 50" wide at belly height, so this might not be to scale for everyone!

Basically, it's five parts. Main part, side wings which fold to the front and the side guards. The side wings as well as the main part overlap each other by roughly 1/2". Only the sideguards overlap the main part by the 1/2". This is due to saving bulk stock, as the back of the cover is really long.

If I have time next week, I'll start sewing and may post pictures of the process.

Let's see if this starts a DIY movement in the ABDL community! :^)
