Pretty sure the main issue is more about a risk of "moral outcry" if it got out there that a self insert not real character is being turned into a child in this game and has a potential to be raped or something like that.

The fact that the maker of TQ is in the UK where they will arrest you for drawings is another fear the maker might have.

The fact that the game is so far just a mod of the main game but all the slut making, sex encounters, and all other major adult stuff removed (or is at least attempting to remove it but so far stuff like dildo pacifiers are still in and there are other things as well) and is in general a more tame game (it would still be M I guess though due to subject material) wouldn't matter much.

Hey, this game is the first "gblorb" game i've ever played and am running it in windows git. Playing it last night it seemed to work all fine but when i loaded my save file today the game seemed messed up. The sizes of the images on the right of the screen were changed and the menu of all the commands only loaded part of them. Putting the game into fullscreen seemed to delete the map data on the left side of the screen as well. Are all these problems with the game or is the interpretor program fucking up somehow? Do I need to mess with the setting to get it working right? If i start a new save from scratch everything seems to be working fine again.

Here's the current changelist:

Changelist:

* A male character is now selectable! There may be quite a few bugs and things that still mention the player's vagina, I probably didn't find them all. If you do find any, please let me know.

* All the recent stuff from TQ is hopefully also working in DQ, including most notably Imprinting.

* Clothing, when destroyed, permanently increases or decreases the stats it was influencing.

* Chef foods (obtained by giving a robochef jewellery and then a snack [food found in containers]) are now appropriate for DQ.

* Added a difficulty setting. Currently all it does is change the HP of NPCs, but this is probably the main individual thing that makes the game easy or hard.

* Tried to improve the role of the diaper check and diaper change in the game. Most diaper checking NPCs (definitely guard, gladiator, mechanic) should now still have a way to become so unimpressed with you that they begin to punish you in other ways than just diaper changes. Usually this is because your appearance is just way too childish.

* Short skirts (but not super-short skirts) now conceal diapers when the player is standing up.

* Weight loss potion (which did nothing in DQ) is now a "potion of control" which has a chance of slightly recovering incontinence (the chance increases the higher incontinence already is, but it won't do this if you're fully incontinent) and if it doesn't lower incontinence it reduces the contents of your bladder and bowels, delaying the next time you need to go.

* Made a balance tweak where you don't get negative stats when you place value in your continence and then wet yourself, you just lose the positive stats you had gained.

* You now immediately jump to maximum incontinence even if you have tattoos disabled.

* Messed around with arousal mechanics to try and make orgasms more common.

* New 'iron maiden' trap in the woods (connected to one of the buckets) has slimy tentacles in it that try to force you to soil yourself and stimulate you through your diaper if you're wearing one, over 4 to 6 turns.

* Wetting (outside of a diaper) or messing yourself inside the iron maiden is more gross than doing it outside of an airtight box due to the smell and so comes with additional delicateness penalties.

* Fixed a bug where diapers weren't transforming into higher padding / higher humiliation diapers as intended.

The game needs an expansion on mechanics. Add in the TG elements for sure then add more dependancies/fetishes. A good start would be suckling dependance. There are a lot of big women npcs so breast or force feeding seems like a natural addition. Could also cause higher wetting chance through pushing on diaper and increased diaper acceptance. Higher stages of suckling dependance can also increase arousal while feeding.

I love diapers, I love diaper games and diaper fantasies. I love living in diapers and dreaming about my future while encased in diapers. (many years of hypnosis files may have broken my perception of reality). But the latest revision of DiaperQuest left me with a limp willy. It's just not very stimulating. The game lacks edge. I feel the same, I'm still holding out on the game but I feel like it needs to expand. Right now it's looking like a mod that changes the game to focus around the diaper fetish only, as opposed to a trapquest-inspired diaper dungeon crawler.

A lot of the variety could be attained by adding a wide range of sub-fetishes that kind of sit under the abdl umbrella.

For example, sissification. Boys and sometimes girls can be taught "good girl behavior", which are various things that are added on to regular action, such as "curtseying" for NPCs that you come across, revealing to them whether you are diapered or not, increasing humiliation and increasing your standing with them slightly.

Diaper checks should also be more in-depth. Instead of NPCs assuming that you're diapered, there should be a perception check done based on the NPCs perception, your dexterity, the thickness of your diaper and the clothes you are wearing over your diaper.

I think size change and MR should also be added to spice up the game.

Expanding classes and gameplay options, while also adding diaper mechanics unique to DQ is what im waiting on.

Pretty good update. I think the game needs some punishment chains. Like punishments trigger another. For example, during the matron feeding scene she gives you a drink that increases diaper dependence. Make this a true muscle relaxant and diuretic with automatic very tired status and having it trigger an accident later.

After applying said scene if the player tries to rest in the room then she puts you in a crib followed by hypnotic music and a dream sequence. The player wakes up wet, possibly masturbated, and is given another bottle during the diaper change. Such events could trigger the bad? end where the player becomes her baby forever after several more scenes.

Another thing is amazons check your diaper but never change you even when overflowing.

Try to only put new clothes on if you have a remove curse of some kind ready (ex. altar not on cooldown). Sometimes you have to in order to cover up, but generally you should come out of the dungeon with only a few cursed items.

I have to say reading the patch notes (i play both games) is super fucking dire this month.

I know not all changes are included in the notes, but according what im reading -

Included in this release is new artwork (the artwork for diaper quest is usually pretty bad though), bug fixes and minor balance changes for non patreons. Patreons get one new scenario with some demon guy, bug fixes, balance changes and two whole new things to do in the school (but we never got to play in the school)

If he is earning six figures from this i'd say he could probably do better not in the least because i've seen him do way way way better in similar timeframes. But what i think happened is he got caught up in the legal issues with trapquest - you might not have read about this but apparently you cant have games about rape in the UK, so he probably had to spend all month rewriting every fucking scene in that game. So its understandable but that doesnt make it any less disappointing.

On a side note removing rape absolutely neutered my desire to play either of these games. If i wasn't currently depressed i'd look into editing the games files but it probably isnt worth the effort when you can still just jack it to videos/stories/images.

It has real time interactive bladder controls for cryin out loud. Likewise equipment actually effects the look and interaction, like you can take off your original school outfit, and the sprite changes and the dialogue changes too, where she yells at you and tells you to put your clothes back on.

Basically everything about that demo has interactive variability. When you start out in your regular clothes for example you can use the toilet before you have an accident. Your demo does have the minumum functions, but I think you're missing the point of what makes Diaper quest and your demo different. It's the plot.

Your story for your demo involves a girl going from panties to a diaper, and using the diaper. That's it. It's great that you have functions, and you add text to the different objects around the rooms, but the plot is really lacking, there's nothing to build on other than her wetting herself.

Diaper Quest, on the other hand, while not having full visuals for everything the player does, has a nice, open plot, with many options for the player to take. You can play as a male or female, who is inducted into a game where they are trying to beat a boss. There are many transformations the player can be forced into. There are also many NPC's which are trying to humiliate you along the way. There are multiple randomly generated floors, all laden with traps to force you into diapers/transformative clothing. That leaves room for many replays through the game, to see what you can do differently.

So, I'll "use my imagination" to predict what your game will be, if you decide to expand on it. The main character will…piss herself and be put into diapers. You may see other characters be put into diapers. There will be other characters who like you, dislike you, all the emotions. You may even give choices. but ones that either barely affect the game, or change it slightly. After one finishes your game, they will more than likely put it down and not replay it, because either its plot is too boring to skip through all of the dialogue, or your story had so little depth when it came to story that people are able to find all the unique events, and be done with it.

So, in my opinion, stop bashing people for wanting to play a game that they enjoy, stop bitching that they don't see your "potential", and just go post your game in the dedicated thread where we post the rest of the ABDL games.

Likely there are certain choice combinations that haven't been properly bug tested that cause a freeze/crash… most likely either as a result of a resource conflict or some kind of conditional statement that isn't progressing further.

You could try running running the game on a single core by going into task manager and setting the "affinity". Likewise, if it's some kind of memory leak issue you could try and increase your system's virtual memory. Lastly you could try running it in "compatibility mode" (just randomly pick one of the options until you find one that maybe works).

Aaaaand lastly you can try and replay the entire thing but try and make different choices so as to avoid the particular conditional fault you previously encountered.

In all my years with computers explicitly setting affinity in task manager has fixed exactly one bug, once in one game.

There's no way an Inform game is having memory issues, the virtual machine they run on only has 512KB and given the total size of story+images is only 270MB the entire game can be memory mapped in just about any computer produced in the last decade.

Unless your using an interpreter written for windows XP for some reason compatibility modes are not going to help. They're tools for dealing with specific common issues with OLD programs. Picking one at random is a terrible idea. Among other things they tend to disable security checks in the kernel…

That's weird man, I've never dealt with a bug like that. The worst I've dealt with is when the game starts to slow down to a crawl, and controls goes absent. Seems like you're stuck regardless of whatever nonsense onideus suggests, since I doubt that adding resources to a text game with few images, including prioritizing a single core to it, would help, that or increasing virtual memory. Best to start the game anew if you haven't tried that out.

What interpreter are you using? That is the main factor when it comes to performance, I'd recommend trying a different one if the one you are using isn't working well (also, try disabling file based undo if you have that enabled). Wingit (if you're using windows ofc) is the one I'd recommend in general.

Was reading through the thread. So I pay & support the game on the months I want to see the new update with cheats.

My Problem with the DQ development is that we are paying a monthly fee for a game which feels as if it has 1/3 the development time as the TQ game.

Half the content is still blocked as the main game and it feels like expansions or abdl content is just lacking in comparison to the main games content and expansiveness.

I really wish more time could be devoted to the game instead of the very little content it feels as if we receive.

That's why asking for 12$-20$ a month feels like a slap in the face when our updates are minor changes each month. Oh great I paid 12$ to now have art applied when we wear stockings/bloomers and a few minor bug changes.

We still don't have the spooky mansion.. still..
