That's because it's the first filler/character development episode, and also because it's literally just seven samurai, which also means it feels like a million other sci-fi stories that have done the same shit
And also because they got pressured into letting Ron Howard's daughter direct the episode, which I suppose they felt fine with considering it's not a main plot episode
Personally, I like that mando is starting to let out an actual personality when it's just him and the baby alone
Dave Filoni is writing and directing the next one, so that probably means we're back to business, and will more than likely be good regardless

but right from the start of 4 though there's a complete change in his personality, and shit like this has been done before dozens of times, i.e. strong quiet man who doesn't take any shit starts warming up to someone who gradually changes his life. at the end of three he was still a cold and distant bounty hunter even to bab yoda who was only staring to accept him slightly, but then at the start of 4 he starts talking to it like it's his own kid. it's like a woman's romance novel, the idea of "taming" a big strong man into opening himself up. i'll give it one more episode before I stop caring.

Watched the whole series all the way through no i didn't give yidney any money and can safely say that it was good.
I fucking called that Kuill was killed by IG-11 instead of the stormtroopers, but I don't get why Mandy was instructed to find bab yoda's parents, someone explain that to me please. Whole season was good all the way through (worst one was the "save da village" episode but that was tolerable), little/no poz so it's good by default and obviously better than TRoS. Overall it was a bit rough in some places, last episode felt kind of rough in terms of pacing and plot, and I wish they did more with fleshing out the characters but that will probably be handled in the inevitable season 2.
