Two people were arrested in Worcester, Massachusetts after a large crowd tried to stop ICE agents from taking a woman into custody. Video shows a group of about 25 people surround the car with the woman in it Thursday morning on Eureka Street.

Worcester police said they responded to the scene for a "report of a federal agent who was surrounded by a large group."

Police said the federal agents had placed the woman under arrest and were attempting to leave, when the crowd tried to stop them.

"The crowd was unruly, and several people were putting their hands on federal agents and Worcester officers in an attempt to keep the vehicle and the arrestee from leaving," Worcester police said in a statement.

The Terrifying Vision That Led Pope Leo XIII To Write The Saint Michael Prayer.

Saint Michael is the most powerful of God’s angels, the leader of all angels and of the army of God. In the Bible, when Satan declared war on God, it is Saint Michael who defeated Satan and expelled him from Heaven. He is a powerful protector against spiritual attacks, and as such, when Pope Leo XIII had a vision of Satan threatening the Church, he wrote the famous “Prayer to Saint Michael”.

On October 13, 1884, exactly 33 years to the day before the Miracle of the Sun in Fatima, Pope Leo XIII had a terrifying vision of the future of the Church. With a handful of cardinals and Vatican staff members in attendance, Pope Leo XIII had finished celebrating Mass in the Vatican Chapel. He suddenly stopped at the foot of the altar, his face having turned ashen white, and remained there standing for about ten minutes in a trance-like state.

Later, when asked what had happened, Pope Leo XIII said that as he was about to leave the altar he heard two voices. One voice was of a kind and gentle nature, while the other voice was guttural and grating. He listened to the voices, which seemed to emanate from the tabernacle, and overheard the following conversation:

After having the vision, Pope Leo immediately went from the Vatican Chapel to his private office and wrote the “Prayer to Saint Michael”, giving with it the instructions that it be prayed after all Low Masses.

The practice of reciting this powerful prayer after Mass continue for decades, until it was officially suppressed after Vatican II. Removing the obligation to recite this prayer (along with the three Hail Marys, the Hail Holy Queen, and the prayer for the Church) after Low Mass did not mean forbidding its use either privately or publicly, and Pope Saint John Paul II recommended its use, saying:

“Although this prayer is no longer recited at the end of Mass, I ask everyone not to forget it and to recite it to obtain help in the battle against the forces of darkness and against the spirit of this world.”

Vietnam’s Shipments From China, to US Reach Record High Amid Trade Fraud Crackdown

HANOI, May 7 (Reuters) – Vietnam’s imports from China and exports to the United States both reached a post-pandemic record in April, amid talks with Washington to reduce Hanoi’s trade surplus and a crackdown on Chinese goods being shipped to the U.S. via its territory.

The Southeast Asian nation faces the risk of 46% duties on its exports to the U.S. if the White House confirms this rate at the end of a global tariff pause in July. This could undermine Vietnam’s growth model and hit multinationals exporting from the country, including Samsung005930.KS and NikeNKE.N.

Hanoi has made multiple offers to the Trump administration to avoid high levies, including clamping down on illegal transshipment of Chinese goods to the U.S. via Vietnam. Goods benefit from lower tariffs if labeled as ‘Made in Vietnam’.

However, trade trends that have attracted U.S. criticism are accelerating, potentially complicating Vietnam’s efforts to extract U.S. concessions in ongoing trade talks.

The Trump administration wants to reduce trade imbalances, but Vietnam’s surplus with the United States – already one of the highest globally – expanded by nearly 25% in the four months to April year on year, according to Vietnam’s statistics agency.

In March alone, it exceeded $13.5 billion, the highest monthly figure ever, U.S. data showed.

Manufacturers in Vietnam are ramping up exports to the United States before a possible tariffs hike, multiple industry executives said.

In April, shipments to the U.S. exceeded $12 billion, 34% higher than a year earlier, and the largest value recorded after the COVID-19 pandemic, Vietnam’s customs data showed.

Vietnam’s Cai Mep deep-sea port, which handles most of the country’s sea-borne exports to the United States, is experiencing a surge in shipments to the U.S., said Soren Pedersen, vice president at SSA Marine, which operates a port in Cai Mep and is one of the world’s largest port operators.

He told Reuters Cai Mep, which hosts all major shipping companies, including Maersk MAERSKb.CO, MSC and COSCO 601919.SS, has 26 container ships booked for weekly departures to the U.S. in May, “a record high” from an average of 20-22.

“Most container terminals are now operating at or near full capacity,” he said, noting that was in anticipation of possible higher tariffs.

CHINA IMPORTS

At the same time, Vietnam is ramping up imports from China, which also reached a post-pandemic record in April, exceeding $15 billion, according to customs data.

Vietnam’s exports to the U.S. in recent years have been fueled by imports from China, with inflows from Beijing closely matching the value and swings of exports to Washington.

Vietnam’s imports of Chinese goods, often components or raw materials used in Vietnamese factories, grew nearly 31% in April from a year earlier. Industrial production rose 8.9% in the same period.

White House officials have accused Vietnam of being a mere waypoint for goods made in China and shipped to the United States, with no or insufficient value added in the country to justify ‘Made in Vietnam’ labels.

In response, Hanoi started a crackdown on illegal transshipment in April, increasing controls on imported goods and the issuance of certificates about products’ origins.

Miller: Well, the Constitution is clear, and that, of course, is the supreme law of the land, that the privilege of the Writ of Habeas Corpus can be suspended in a time of invasion. So, it’s an option we’re actively looking at. Look, a lot of it depends on whether the courts do the right thing or not. At the end of the day, Congress passed a body of law known as the Immigration Nationality Act, which stripped Article Three courts—that’s the judicial branch of jurisdiction over immigration cases.

So, Congress actually passed—it’s called jurisdiction stripping legislation—It passed a number of laws that say that the Article Three courts aren’t even allowed to be involved in immigration cases. Many of you probably don’t know this. I’ll give you a good example. Are you familiar with the term temporary protective status, or TPS? Right? So, by statute, the courts are stripped of jurisdiction from overruling a presidential determination or a secretarial determination on TPS when the Secretary of Homeland Security makes that determination.

So, when Secretary Noem terminated TPS for the illegals that Biden flew into the country, when courts stepped in, they were violating explicit language that Congress had enacted, saying they have no jurisdiction. So, it’s not just— the courts aren’t just at war with the executive branch. The courts are at war, these radical rogue judges, with the legislative branch as well too. So all of that will inform the choices the president ultimately makes.

RESCINDING BURDENSOME WATER RULES: Today, President Donald J. Trump signed a memorandum to eliminate restrictive water pressure and efficiency rules that make household appliances less effective and more expensive. The memorandum directs the Secretary of Energy to:

Review and rescind—or revert to the minimum standards required by statute—rules that limit water use in showerheads, faucets, dishwashers, toilets, urinals, and washing machines.

Publish in the Federal Register a notice clarifying the scope of federal preemption of state rules for water use in showerheads, faucets, toilets, and urinals.

Pause enforcement any of rules mentioned in the memorandum until they are rescinded or revised.

Work with the Director of the Office of Legislative Affairs to recommend to Congress any water pressure or related energy efficiency laws, including the Energy Policy Act of 1992, that should be repealed or amended.

RESTORING CONSUMER CHOICE AND AFFORDABILITY: President Trump believes that the Federal Government should not impose or enforce regulations that make taxpayers’ lives worse.

Water conservation requirements for faucets, showers, bathtubs, and toilets make bathroom appliances more expensive and less functional.

Efficiency standards render other American appliances, like clothes washers and dishwashers, less useful, more breakable, and more expensive to repair.

Ultra-efficient washing machines cost at least $100 more according to the Department of Energy.

Updated dishwasher regulations caused those appliances to take two hours or more to complete a normal load of dishes—about twice the time of pre-standards models.

Islamabad has vowed retaliation after New Delhi struck multiple “terrorist targets” on its territory and Pakistan-controlled part of Kashmir

India has launched “Operation Sindoor,” targeting what it calls “terrorist infrastructure” in Pakistan and the Pakistan-controlled part of Kashmir, in retaliation for a deadly terrorist attack in Baisaran Valley.

New Delhi said the strikes were directed at “terrorist camps” and not the Pakistani armed forces or civilians. “Our actions have been focused, measured, and non-escalatory in nature,” the Indian government said, noting it“has demonstrated considerable restraint in the selection of targets and method of execution.”

Islamabad has condemned the strikes as a “heinous provocation” and vowed retaliation. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that Pakistan “has every right to respond forcefully to this act of war imposed by India.”

Since the Indian strikes, Islamabad has responded with shelling across the Line of Control, the de facto border between the countries in Kashmir. The cross-border fire has resulted in 16 civilian deaths, according to the Indian government.

India and Pakistan also traded accusations of drone attacks, with both sides claiming to have taken down unmanned aerial vehicles.

The ongoing “Operation Sindoor” follows the April 22 attack in Baisaran Valley, which left 26 civilians dead. India has held Pakistan indirectly responsible, alleging cross-border militant involvement. Islamabad has vehemently denied that it had any role in the attack and has called for an impartial probe.

Reports in Indian media suggest that on May 8, the Indian Navy may have launched an attack on Karachi's naval port as part of a broader retaliatory strike operation. The Indian and Pakistani governments have not confirmed the reports, and multiple Pakistani social media accounts deny that an attack occurred.

The possible naval strike follows Indian attacks on nine sites in Pakistani-controlled Kashmir early on May 7 - a response to the terrorist attack in Indian-controlled Kashmir on April 22, in which 26 tourists were killed. The conflict has seen a gradual widening of cross-border aerial attacks by both sides in recent days, with heavy use of drones and stand-off missiles.

Briefing the media on the May 7 attacks across the Line of Control (the de facto boundary dividing Pakistani and Indian controlled Kashmir), Indian spokeswoman Wing Commander Vyomika Singh said that Operation Sindoor had been focused on hitting infrastructure associated with the Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba organizations, which India believes were responsible for mounting the terrorist attacks.

She said that India had designed Operation Sindoor to be ‘focused, measured and non-escalatory in nature. No Pakistani military facilities have been targeted’. The attacks were also designed to deter further terrorist attacks, which India believes were imminent.

Following the initial Indian attacks, which were launched with stand-off weapons from aircraft that did not cross into Pakistani airspace, there were heavy small arms and artillery exchanges across the Line of Control between Indian and Pakistani-controlled areas of Kashmir. These clashes had killed an additional 19 Indian civilians by the close of May 7.

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif vowed decisive retaliation. Pakistani sources reported that in the attacks over the land border, five Indian aircraft had been shot down and an Indian brigade headquarters shelled; eight civilians had been killed in the Indian attacks. The Pakistani reporting gave no indication that clashes had spread from the Kashmir area, but described an attack on May 6 in central Pakistan by the Baloch Liberation Army that killed seven soldiers as being carried out by ‘Indian proxies’.

At sea, Indian P-8I Neptune aircraft from Indian Naval Air Squadron 316 based at Hansa in Goa have in recent days been covering Pakistani naval live firing exercises southwest of Karachi. Early on, the Indian Navy is likely to have deployed a forward submarine screen covering approaches to Karachi, using carrier-launched aircraft from INS Vikrant (R11) and INS Vikramaditya (R33) to restrict Pakistani maritime surveillance efforts.

The main Indian naval bases on the west coast at Mumbai and Karwar are empty of ships, as seen in satellite imagery on May 6. The Pakistani Navy is likely to have deployed from its main bases in Karachi, Omarah and Gwadar, but ships are likely to be keeping sufficiently close to land so as to remain under Pakistani air cover.

Indian officials told network NDTV that the Indian Navy "conducted targeted operations in the Arabian Sea against Pakistan," but without specifying a strike on the naval base in Karachi. NASA's FIRMS satellite fire detection platform shows no recent heat signatures in Karachi's harbor area.
