Plaintiff Russell-Jay: Gould has paid a $150 filing fee and filed a number of documents apparently intended to constitute a proposed civil complaint. Upon review of plaintiff's complaint, I conclude that it should be dismissed forthwith on the court's own motion for lack of subject matter jurisdiction.

A district court may dismiss a complaint for lack of subject matter jurisdiction on its own motion where the claims are "so insubstantial, implausible, foreclosed by prior decisions of [the United States Supreme Court], or otherwise completely devoid of merit as not to involve a federal controversy." Steel Company v. Citizens for a Better Environment, 118 S.Ct. 1003, 1010 (1998) (citing Oneida Indian Nation of N.Y. v. County of Oneida, 414 U.S. 661, 666 (1974)).

In what appears to be the primary pleading captioned "GLOBAL-POSTAL-UNION-TREATY. FOR THIS CLAIM OF THIS MARRIAGE-UNION IS WITH THIS TREATY OF THIS FEE WITH THIS TERRITORY OF THIS NORTH-CAROLINA, DI-STRICT OF THE COLUMBIA AND DI-STRICT-COURT/PORT WITH THESE UNITY-STATES OF OUR WORLD, plaintiff makes nonsensical conclusory statements. There are no factual allegations from which an inference might be drawn that plaintiff's rights have been violated under federal law or the United States Constitution, or that plaintiffs' rights under state law have been violated by defendants who reside in a state other than the same state in which the plaintiff resides. Indeed, there are no factual allegations at all.

Because nothing in plaintiffs' pleading permits an inference to be drawn that there exists a case or controversy over which this court might have jurisdiction, the complaint will be dismissed on the court's own motion for lack of jurisdiction.

Oil Plunges On Report Saudis Bracing For Price War, Can "Live With Lower Oil Prices"

It had already been a miserable month for oil, which has suffered its worst monthly performance since 2021 and also is on pace for its month of April on record… and then it got even worse when shortly before noon ET, when Reuters reported, citing multiple sources, that Saudi Arabian officials are briefing allies and industry experts to say the kingdom is unwilling to prop up the oil market with further supply cuts and can handle a prolonged period of low prices.

This shift in Saudi policy could suggest a move toward producing more and expanding its market share, a major change after five years spent balancing the market through deep output as a leader of the OPEC+ group of oil producers. Those cuts had supported prices, in turn bolstering the oil export revenue that many oil producers rely on, but many OPEC+ members - most notably Kazakhstan - took advantage of the production restraint and blew away through their export quotas, infuriating other cartel members.

Sure enough, Reuters notes that Riyadh has been angered by Kazakhstan and Iraq producing above their OPEC+ targets. And after pushing members to adhere to those targets and to compensate for oversupply in recent months, a frustrated Riyadh is changing tack, OPEC+ sources said.

Saudi Arabia pushed for a larger-than-planned OPEC+ output hike in May, a decision that helped send oil prices below $60 a barrel to a 4-year low.

Another scientist, the French diplomat Benoît de Maillet, theorised in the 1720s that even outer space’s void is teeming with microorganisms.

He claimed “seeds” of living creatures circulate throughout space, agglomerating around planetary bodies like “filings of iron” around magnets. This also led him to reason that all planets share the same species.

Three decades later, in 1759, Adam Smith — the founder of modern economics — assured that the cosmos maintains “at all times the greatest possible quantity of happiness” for all “inhabitants of the Universe.”

It’s convenient that our word “economy” derives from the Ancient Greek for “house,” given that, in Smith’s eyes, our cosmic home is a maximally economical one.

No space is wasted. Smith considered it unthinkable that “all the unknown regions of infinite and incomprehensible space may be filled with nothing.” There must be happy consumers, everywhere.

The late 1700s and early 1800s saw the development of the first truly large-scale reflecting telescopes, revealing ever-greater galactic magnitudes and volumes.

In 1844, the Scottish geologist Robert Chalmers rhapsodized that nature’s “aim” simply must be “to fill up every vacant piece of space with some sentient being to be a vehicle of enjoyment.”

Anything else would seem a cosmic waste, given the magnitudes being discovered.

Cosmic censuses

It was only a matter of time until someone conducted a cosmic census. That is, an attempt to gauge just how much enjoyment our cosmic neighborhood might house.

A Gross Domestic Product for the stars, if you will. This fell to the British theologian and astronomer Thomas Dick, who provided the first population estimates for the bustling Universe he believed he was living in.

In 1838, Dick started out modestly. That is, focusing on just our Solar System. Generously, however, he included the surface areas of Saturn’s rings, alongside the known satellites of other planets, assuming all are inhabited.

Betraying his conviction that his own nation was the navel of the known Universe, Dick proudly extrapolated from England’s contemporary population density — of “280 inhabitants per square mile” — to output a total circumstellar population of “21,891,974,404,480.” (Rounding numbers wasn’t yet a scientific convention.)

Two years later, Dick used similar reasoning to guestimate the total population for what was then the visible Universe.

He put this at an ample “sixty quadrillions,” or, more precisely, “60,573,000,000,000,000,000,000.” Dick, a church minster, was confident in his claim that “there is but one religion throughout the Universe”: conveniently, his own.

As late as the 1880s and 1890s, some scientists were still maintaining that the Sun itself is inhabited.

This was in spite of the invention, decades before, of spectroscopy, which enabled the determination of the Sun’s temperature and chemical composition.

Still, some writers maintained that “there may be creatures on the Sun which thrive upon incandescent hydrogen.”

In 1896, a German by the name of Carl Goetze published a book whose title translates as The Sun Is Inhabited. In it, he rejected the idea that the Sun is a superheated, gaseous body, instead insisting it has life on its surface.

Naturally, he assumed it would be identical to Earth’s. Goetze pictured mammoths and dinosaurs lumbering in swamps throughout the sun’s clement polar regions.

He was also convinced there were “humans” living there. Goetze’s ideas — outlandish even for the time — didn’t catch on.

But even mainstream scientists, like the Anglo-German biochemist William Thierry Preyer, could at the time remain toying with claims that suns themselves may represent “glowing organisms whose breath may perhaps be shining vapor, whose blood may be flowing metal, and whose food may perhaps be meteorites.”

The beginnings of astrobiology

This assumption that life is cosmically omnipresent reached its peak throughout the late 1800s. But it began falling apart throughout the early decades of the 1900s.

This was due to the discovery of radioactivity, confirming outer space is full of noxious radiations and emissions, alongside building awareness of the stringency of the conditions required for life to survive.

The influential English cosmologist James Jeans summed it up in a talk given at London’s University College in 1926.

Recent breakthroughs in physics, he pronounced, had made clear that “the physical conditions under which life is possible form only a tiny fraction of the range of physical conditions which prevail in the Universe as a whole.”

Nonetheless, old habits die hard. In 1953, the American astronomer Kenneth Heuer published a beautifully illustrated book called Men of Other Worlds.

In the final chapter, Heuer, directly inspired by Dick, repeated the task of taking the Solar System’s census.

Taking into account the discovery of new moons since Dick’s time, from Io to Triton, Heuer updated the total surface area of the Solar System to “47,230,298,000,” before outputting its total population as “535,092,960,000.”

Heuer’s overall smaller estimate was based on his marginally more sensible idea of extrapolating the total population of the Earth as a whole, rather than just that of England.

Given how far knowledge had come about our neighboring planets by the 1950s, Heuer was probably not being entirely serious.

Men of Other Worlds is self-consciously archaic, constantly gesturing back to earlier speculators and dreamers. The foreword advertises it as a work for anyone who likes their “science spiced with fantasy.”

Aside from speculating on asteroids populated by “living minerals,” “singing stones,” and “talking rocks,” Heuer also claimed Jupiter’s “Red Spot” might be a supermassive iceberg “floating in an ocean of permanent gases.”

There, perhaps, is more fantasy here than science.

Nonetheless, the fact that the fantasy remains alluring tells us something important. Historically speaking, it seems clear that people desperately want there to be life elsewhere.

That’s why we should be abundantly cautious when it comes to claims we’ve found its signatures, no matter how well-founded they are.

After all, the founding of the modern field of astrobiology — as a serious science — rests in the historic realization that life isn’t simply everywhere there is a surface.

First, we might need to specify what types of surfaces might accommodate living matter, while also questioning what life even is in the first place.

We’ve come a long way since Thomas Dick’s cosmic census, conducted just under two centuries ago.

However, by looking outward and discovering that the Universe isn’t as bustling as we first assumed, we must now learn to look inward, coming to appreciate just how fragile a foothold Earth might be in the cosmic perspective.

This way, we might acknowledge the consequent responsibility we have for our miraculous, wonderful life.

Earlier this year, the British space scientist Margaret Ebunoluwa Aderin-Pocock claimed it is “a human conceit to think we’re alone.”

Perhaps it is a conceit, perhaps not, but it’s certainly humbler than assuming every single cosmic surface is thronging with things like us.

Tensions began a day earlier from the Druze-majority town of Jaramana, close to Sahnaya, which was attacked by Sunni gunmen, some of whom affiliated with the government, over an audio recording of a Druze man cursing the Prophet Mohammad that surfaced online earlier in the week.

Over a dozen were killed in Jaraman before representatives of the government and local Druze leaders reached an agreement.

Despite the agreement in Jaramana, the situation deteriorated in Sahnaya overnight with Sunni gunmen, including members of government forces, attacking the town.

As the attack gained momentum, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz announced that they had instructed the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) to protect the Druze in Sahnaya, citing the country’s “commitment to the Druze community in Israel and to protecting their brothers in Syria.”

The two leaders also said that Israel conveyed a “serious message” to Syria’s leadership: “Israel expects it to act to prevent harm to the Druze.”

Three Israeli drone strikes targeted government forces outside the town, with the IDF announcing only the first and describing it as a “warning.” Still, it was reported that the strike killed a member of the government’s e General Security Service.

Later following an assessment, IDF Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir instructed the military to target Syrian government sites “if the violence against the Druze does not stop.”

“The IDF is monitoring developments in Syria. The forces are deployed with readiness for defense and various scenarios,” the military said in a statement.

Fighter jets of the Israeli Air Force were spotted over Sahnaya and nearby areas right after the release of the statement. Still, this didn’t stop government forces which stormed the town as the jets carried out at least two strikes, reportedly causing casualties.

Fire official says fires ‘may be Israel’s largest ever’

The Fire and Rescue Service’s Jerusalem District commander says that today’s fires may be the largest in Israel’s history and that firefighters have a long way to go before the blazes are contained.

“We are amidst a very large wildfire, maybe the largest there has ever been in this country,” Shmulik Friedman says during a press conference held in Eshtaol this evening.

“Regarding our activity, it will continue for a very long time. We are far from having control [over the fires],” he says.

He notes that the blazes, which began near Mesilat Zion at around 9:30 a.m., were carried west by strong winds. The fires have since shifted direction eastward.

The senior firefighter warns that winds are expected to pick up this evening and could reach speeds of up to 90-100 kilometers per hour (56-62 mph), which could worsen the spread of the wildfires.

When asked about the underlying causes, Friedman replies: “We do not currently know what caused the fire, we have absolutely no clue, and we are not yet dealing with this.”

Amnesty International: Israel Carrying Out ‘Live-Streamed Genocide’ in Gaza

The rights organization says Israel is committing genocide by 'inflicting conditions of life calculated to bring about Palestinians' physical destruction'

The report said that Israel was committing the crime of genocide by “killing Palestinian civilians, causing serious bodily or mental harm, and deliberately inciting conditions of life calculated to bring about Palestinians’ physical destruction by causing mass forced displacement, obstructing or denying lifesaving aid, and by damaging or destroying life-sustaining infrastructure.”

Amnesty first concluded Israel was committing genocide in Gaza in a report published in December 2024. The US has rejected the conclusion and has opposed the genocide case against Israel at the International Court of Justice since US officials are implicated due to US military aid and other types of support for Israel.

The new Amnesty report criticized some aspects of the domestic situation in the US and the US government’s support for Israel. “The continued supply of munitions to Israel violated US laws and policies regarding the transfer and sale of arms, intended to prevent arms transfers that risk contributing to civilian harm and violations of human rights or international humanitarian law,” Amnesty said.

Amnesty said that it had identified US-made bombs used in “unlawful deadly airstrikes by the Israeli military on residential homes and a makeshift camp for displaced people in the occupied Gaza Strip.”

§1357. Powers of immigration officers and employees

(a) Powers without warrant

Any officer or employee of the Service authorized under regulations prescribed by the Attorney General shall have power without warrant-

(1) to interrogate any alien or person believed to be an alien as to his right to be or to remain in the United States;

(2) to arrest any alien who in his presence or view is entering or attempting to enter the United States in violation of any law or regulation made in pursuance of law regulating the admission, exclusion, expulsion, or removal of aliens, or to arrest any alien in the United States, if he has reason to believe that the alien so arrested is in the United States in violation of any such law or regulation and is likely to escape before a warrant can be obtained for his arrest, but the alien arrested shall be taken without unnecessary delay for examination before an officer of the Service having authority to examine aliens as to their right to enter or remain in the United States;

(3) within a reasonable distance from any external boundary of the United States, to board and search for aliens any vessel within the territorial waters of the United States and any railway car, aircraft, conveyance, or vehicle, and within a distance of twenty-five miles from any such external boundary to have access to private lands, but not dwellings, for the purpose of patrolling the border to prevent the illegal entry of aliens into the United States;

(4) to make arrests for felonies which have been committed and which are cognizable under any law of the United States regulating the admission, exclusion, expulsion, or removal of aliens, if he has reason to believe that the person so arrested is guilty of such felony and if there is likelihood of the person escaping before a warrant can be obtained for his arrest, but the person arrested shall be taken without unnecessary delay before the nearest available officer empowered to commit persons charged with offenses against the laws of the United States; and

(5) to make arrests-

(A) for any offense against the United States, if the offense is committed in the officer's or employee's presence, or

(B) for any felony cognizable under the laws of the United States, if the officer or employee has reasonable grounds to believe that the person to be arrested has committed or is committing such a felony,

Zelensky pleaded with Trump in Vatican – The Economist

The Ukrainian leader reportedly said only the US president can broker peace between Moscow and Kiev

Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky tried to persuade US President Donald Trump during their brief conversation at the Vatican not to give up on his efforts to settle the conflict between Moscow and Kiev, according to The Economist.

Trump and Zelensky got together for some 15 minutes on the sidelines of Pope Francis’ funeral on Saturday.

The negotiations “produced a striking photograph of the two men sitting in St. Peter’s Basilica, locked in conversationas apparent political equals,” The Economist wrote on Tuesday.

(WTF?That’s exactly how much respect they have for the leader of the US.)

Ukrainian sources told the outlet that Zelensky used the discussions “todeliver a simple message: Ukraine is ready for an unconditional ceasefire, Russia is not, and Mr. Trump should not abandon a peace that only he can deliver.”

Russia previously called the 30-day ceasefire demanded by Kiev “unrealistic,” stressing that talks can take place without a pause in the fighting.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio warned over the weekend that Washington could disengage from the peace process if it does not see rapid progress from Russia and Ukraine towards an end to the fighting.

The mood in Ukraine is now “cautiously optimistic” because the officials inKiev believe that “after months of threats and blackmail,” Trump has finally started “to respect” Zelensky, the Economist wrote. (Then they are all delusional!!!)

The talks at the Vatican became the first in-person conversation between the two leaders since their meeting at the Oval Office in late February, which devolved into a shouting match in front of the cameras.

At the time, Trump and US Vice President J.D. Vance accused Zelensky of being ungrateful for the American aid and not being interested in peace. The public quarrel resulted in the Ukrainian leader’s visit to the White House being cut short.

Following the meeting at the Vatican, Trump described Zelensky as “calmer,” saying that the Ukrainian leader now “understands the picture. And I think he wants to make a deal. I do not know if he wanted to make a deal [before]. I think he wants to make a deal.”

On Tuesday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov reiterated Moscow’s readiness to engage in direct talks with Kiev without any preconditions.

As for the ceasefire, Russia considers it “a precondition that will be used to further support the Kiev regime and strengthen its military capabilities,” he explained.

"Mossad agents" and "warmongers" are pushing the US into a conflict with the Islamic Republic of Iran. Those lines aren’t coming from state-run news agencies in Tehran, but some of US President Donald Trump’s closest media allies and supporters.

Last week, conservative talk show host Tucker Carlson featured a senior Department of Defense official who he claimed was ousted because he was seen as an obstacle to the US bombing Iran.

Dan Caldwell, a top advisor to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, was removed from the Pentagon earlier this month on charges that he allegedly leaked classified information about Hegseth’s use of a Signal chat, according to several media outlets.

Not so by Carlson’s telling, who has unparalleled access to Trump. "You did make maybe one career mistake by giving on-the-record interviews describing your foreign policy views…that are out of the mainstream among warmongers in Washington," Carlson said to Caldwell, adding, "Then I read all of a sudden that you are a traitor."

On Sunday, another conservative podcaster, Clayton Morris, a former Fox News anchor, said pro-Israel voices were "working overtime" to destroy the "anti-war team" that Trump has assembled at the Pentagon.

"We’ve learned here at Redacted that former Israeli Mossad agents are working overtime on social media and behind the scenes trying to discredit Secretary of Defence Pete Hegseth," Morris said, referring to his show. He didn't name the so-called former agents.

Trump’s administration is divided between more traditional Republicans like US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and national security advisor Mike Waltz, and "America First" isolationists like White House chief of staff Susie Wiles and director of national intelligence Tulsi Gabbard.

Leaders of 764 Arrested and Charged for Operating Global Child Exploitation Enterprise

Arrests Mark Significant Takedown Within Violent Online Network

WASHINGTON – Leonidas Varagiannis, also known as “War,” 21, a citizen of the United States residing in Thessaloniki, Greece, and Prasan Nepal, also known as “Trippy,” 20, of North Carolina, were arrested and charged for operating an international child exploitation enterprise known as “764,” a nihilistic violent extremist (NVE) network. Varagiannis was arrested yesterday in Greece; Nepal was arrested on April 22, 2025, in North Carolina and had a court appearance. Court hearings in Washington, D.C. are pending for both defendants.

The charges were announced by U.S. Attorney Edward R. Martin Jr., U.S. Attorney General Pamela Bondi, FBI Assistant Director in Charge Steven J. Jensen of the Washington Field Office, and FBI Assistant Director in Charge Christopher G. Raia of the New York Field Office.

According to the affidavit in the District of Columbia, 764 is a network of nihilistic violent extremists who engage in criminal conduct in the United States and abroad, seeking to destroy civilized society through the corruption and exploitation of vulnerable populations, which often include minors. The 764 network’s accelerationist goals include social unrest and the downfall of the current world order, including the United States Government.

As alleged, the defendants engaged in a coordinated criminal enterprise and led a core subgroup within 764 known as 764 Inferno, operated through encrypted messaging applications. As alleged, they directed, participated in, and otherwise caused the production and distribution of child sexual abuse material (CSAM), and the defendants facilitated the grooming, manipulation, and extortion of minors. Veragiannis and Nepal allegedly ordered their victims to commit acts of self-harm and engaged in psychological torment and extreme violence against minors. The affidavit alleges that the group targeted vulnerable children online, coercing them into producing degrading and explicit content under threat and manipulation. This content includes “cut signs” and “blood signs” through which young girls would cut symbols into their bodies.

The defendants and their co-conspirators around the world used the CSAM and other gore and violent material to create digital “Lorebooks,” which NVEs used as digital currency within the 764 network — traded, archived in encrypted “vaults,” and used as a means to recruit new members or maintain status within the network. The affidavit also details how the defendants instructed others members in grooming tactics and set content production expectations for new recruits. In multiple instances, defendants threatened and caused their victims to engage in self-mutilation, online and in-person sexual acts, harm to animals, sexual exploitation of siblings and others, acts of violence, threats of violence, suicide, and murder.

Also according to the complaint affidavit, the defendants exploited at least eight minor victims across multiple jurisdictions, with some content traced back to children as young as 13 years old. The network’s activities spanned from late 2020 through early 2025, with core leadership roles attributed to both defendants throughout the period.

“The allegations in this case are not only disturbing, they are also every parent’s nightmare” said U.S. Attorney Martin. “The number of victims allegedly exploited by these defendants, and the depths of depravity are staggering. Justice demands that our response be swift in order to ensure public safety, hold the wrongdoers accountable, and bring the victims some sense of closure so they can heal.”

“These defendants are accused of orchestrating one of the most heinous online child exploitation enterprises we have ever encountered – a network built on terror, abuse, and the deliberate targeting of children,” said Attorney General Bondi. “We will find those who exploit and abuse children, prosecute them, and dismantle every part of their operation.”
