We continue our occasional series of personal accounts by Covid-19 vaccine-injured men and women who, from the moment they started to suffer from and reported serious adverse reactions, have felt abandoned by the NHS, experts and the mainstream media. Today Becky Vowler, previously a dedicated young postwoman, recounts her existence since her Pfizer jab and the utter failure of the NHS to help with her continuing extreme symptoms.
THE last 15 months has been utter hell. In my ‘former’ life I was a postwoman working for Royal Mail with an attendance record of 100 per cent for five years. Now I am housebound and struggle to move from one room to another.
It all began in April 2021 when I fell and hit the back of my head. I heard a crack at the time but as I had no immediate symptoms I did not seek medical assistance. I just assumed that everything was fine. Next day, I couldn’t even lift my head off the pillow. Nevertheless, I went back to work after three days as fortunately Royal Mail had given me a three-day weekend (a rare occurrence). My neck was stiff but I was functional and improving. Towards the end of May 2021, my neck felt better. I thought I was healed.
Then I had the first Pfizer vaccine. The BBC was reporting the deaths of young persons in India from the arrival of the new ‘Delta’ virus. As an asthmatic, this scared me and was the reason behind my vaccination. Beforehand, I did research on the side-effects. Nothing appeared in the search results except for symptoms such as sore arm and fatigue. We were told it was safe and effective and that any symptoms would be temporary.
