Two East Georgia parents were arrested Friday, two months after their 3-year-old son shot his 5-year-old brother in the stomach with a rifle, according to the GBI.
Terry Kelley Jr., 28, and Clarice Fife, 31, both of Dearing, are each charged with reckless conduct and second-degree child cruelty in connection with the shooting, GBI spokesman Chris McKeown said. The Warren County Sheriff’s Office requested the GBI’s help investigating the shooting, which happened at a home on Ranger Road in Warrenton March 13, McKeown said.

That must be one beefy little 3 year old. I would have had trouble lifting, aiming and firing a rifle when I was three.

It was obviously a .22 rimfire. AKA, a high-powered military-style rifle with the things that goes up.

The story says a "semi-automatic rifle" was used and the 5 year old was shot twice. Once in the arm and once in the stomach. Maybe a youth model 10/22? Also, the parents look like low IQ white trash. I'm sure this happened in a trailer park.

Nah, it never says two shots, and though the article says "semi-auto" I can't believe someone who graduated jschool knows an m1911 from an SMLE from a .410/440 over/under from a 155mm howitzer from a Civil War musket.

Fuck you…they just lost their son. Are they supposed to take ‘glam’ photos at their mug shot?

Does it matter, in one fell swoop he lost everything. Brother, parents; everything he ever knew.

most states won't recognize anyone under 5 as being capable of murder; the idea being that before 5 you have insufficient associative memory to plan a murder by firearm

I admit that the wording of the article is highly freaky. Honestly it is so weird that your question is very valid.

>abdomen and right arm
Maybe it was one shot that ricocheted. Maybe it passed through his arm and into his gut or visa versa. Two wounds though.

>He was released two days later.
Not unless they released the kid to a graveyard. Having read the story, I was lead to believe that the child survived. Not unless you mean they just lost their son because they're in jail and CPS took the kids from them. Either way, go fuck yourself, nigger.

This is why kids shouldn't be playing video games that teach them to shoot everyone they come into contact with.

The parents should have ditched the three year old, got rid of their ID's and headed innawoods with camping gear and their guns far outta state, and ditched the vehicle somewhere it wouldn't be noticed for a while. Not that they could easily return to civilization but it would have been better than going to jail. Fuck calling the cops, ever. They should have been shot too knowing they'll arrest you now days for just about anything.

I might be wrong, but I think the hospitals are required by law to report to the police anytime someone comes in with a gunshot wound. I'd have been more upset if these idiots would have tried to dig the bullet out of little Timmy's gut themselves.
