Wisconsin's Supreme Court overturned the state's stay-at-home orders on Wednesday, as regions across the US grapple with the increasingly partisan decision of whether or not to reopen amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Americans across the country have staged anti-lockdown demonstrations and President Donald Trump has pressed for rapid steps to rekindle the devastated US economy before his tough re-election battle in November.
But public health experts, including the president's top medical advisor Anthony Fauci, have warned that loosening restrictions on public gatherings too early could trigger fresh COVID-19 outbreaks.
The Midwestern state's high court sided with lawmakers from Trump's Republican Party, who had challenged an extension of the quarantine imposed by Democratic Governor Tony Evers's administration.

Can a burger please explain to the rest of us why contracting cancerAIDSbola is a "Don't Tread On Me" issue?

It's as simple as free people not liking being told what to do. Wisdom of making their stand here is laughable at best with all the other shit going wrong but whatever.

It's a multitude of factors:
>Most states, what was supposed to be a two-week lockdown has become a two-month lockdown. Normalfags are getting frustated with the lack of action, Niggers and Rednecks have been chimping out from the start.
>State Governors think that the state they govern, is just like the large inner-cities filled with niggers and rich kids. They don't think that there are people that act autonomously and mind their own business.
>Americans have a track-record for being not trusting to the government. One part of this is abuse- either by a person by person basis or by institutions run by sociopaths. The other part being, most normalfags are quite-well aware of the corruption, lobbying, and bullshit going down in all levels of government by wannabe-normal SJW-types and power-hungry narcissists. They just don't know how to fight back against these types. but I damn well know they would if they knew how.

State legislators are making it a partisan issue while at the same time banning things in places that aren't even hit by the virus. People are getting arrested for mowing their own lawn. Meanwhile in places like NYC, you can still go outside without issue.

some perceive the data that has been recorded since january to show that that what you describe as "cancerAIDSbola" is only a lethal threat to a fraction of %1 of the population and, given that data, they are asserting their rights to embrace what they perceive as a statistically insignificant risk. not all hospitals have been overwhelmed as computer models originally predicted. the elderly and immune-compromised are still free to shelter in place, if they chose to do so.
also, wisconson is a large state and aside from a few densely populated urban and suburban areas, there are vast stretches of land where people do not live in close proximity to one another. also, a great deal of those vast stretches of land are or were productive farmland. without agricultural activity, to provide a healthy diet to the country as a whole, sheltering in place while malnourished only exacerbates the situation.
how can you baffled by such obvious things, anon?

Not really. It all boils down to economics my dear Watson. People don't like it when they can't afford food on the table or are unable to pay the next bills. Many just want to go back to earning a living and not be strapped by debts and fiscal problems.

quarantines traditionally affect the already-infected, but the incubation period's so long on corona (10 days to as much as 3 weeks) that you could pass it on to hundreds of people before you even develop the sniffles
the school of thought goes that it is a violation of rights to restrict the healthy, but this is potentially a situation in which it would be permissible to enact martial law; we quash it now or we get another Spanish Flu
the low rate of infection to date, as well as the low death rate, has been in no small part due to proper self-quarantine and NOT overwhelming the hospitals so they can do their jobs as actually needed
they think it's their choice to take the risk, but with the long incubation they're making the choice for other people

You miss a lot of the issue that the other posters bring up, primarily treating small towns like large cities and laws that are more restrictive than even NYC

See, this makes sense to me, but I'm not an American. I had a good American friend (who is sadly no longer with us) and we'd chat all the time about the differences between our countries. I came to understand a lot about the American point of view, including why No Step On Snek is so important to them. I just don't understand this particular action, as it seems to be suicidal.

They aren't obvious to me because things work differently where I am. I would say it's obvious not to tempt fate by congregating. I have no idea how populated Wisconsin is, but I'm willing to bet they have enough people with which to pass around the coof if they all gather together.

I'm American and it seems suicidal. Every time there's a large gathering in protest of the quarantine my first thought is "great, another potential outbreak".
I suppose inherent in our freedoms is the right to exercise a lack of common sense.

I don't know anyone that has it, no one that I know, knows anyone that has it. I go out without any special precautions to food shop, wash my hands when I get home, and drink my medicinal tea. Nothing has changed, I keep asking everyone if they know anyone who is sick and they always answer no. I don't wear a mask didn't even bother. It must be my tea. I give everyone my recipe and they don't get sick either.
There is a lot of crazy stuff going on with Dr Rashid A Buttar and Dr. Judy Mikovits that is very interesting, bizarre even.

LMAO…you are making a massive assumption that there are consistent rules in the USA for all people. Nope anon, for years and decades there has been classes of people who do not have to follow rules, laws or are completely above the law making the Law itself totally meaningless. These ‘laws’ are all enacted to destroy the middle class while the richest of the rich and the poorest of the poor parasite off them.
