The Oklahoma Highway Patrol and Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation say a suspect is in custody following a shooting Tuesday night.
OHP was called to help the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office with a barricaded suspect around 7 p.m. in Fairland, Okla.
The suspect, 48-year-old Edwin Ball, started firing shots at them. A pellet hit a trooper in the eye. He was rushed to a nearby hospital.
Deputies contacted the OSBI for assistance.
Ball barricaded himself in the home for six hours.
Troopers used CS Gas to get control of the situation and take the suspect into custody around 5:15 a.m. Wednesday.
Officials learned Ball's ex-girlfriend came to his house with her son and brother.
The son, 25-year-old Brendan Van Zwell, was shot and killed and her brother, Peter Stokes, was shot and injured.
Ball was booked into the Ottawa County Jail and is facing multiple charges, including felony murder and two counts of shooting with intent to kill.
