WASHINGTON - Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry is using his celebrity for good by teaming up with Dr. Anthony Fauci for a live Instagram chat Thursday to talk about COVID-19.

The two-time NBA champion announced on his Twitter and Instagram accounts. Curry encouraged viewers to submit questions using the hashtag #SCASKFAUCI. The format of the session will be question-and-answer and is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. PT/ 1 p.m. ET.

Dr. Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, serves as a member of the White House Coronavirus Task Force.

The NBA suspended its season on March 11 when Utah Jazz player Rudy Gobert became the United States' first athlete to test positive for the virus.

Since then, Curry, along with other NBA players, has found ways to give to their communities and those impacted by the virus.

Curry and his wife Ayesha's Eat. Learn. Play. Foundation has donated to the Alameda County Community Food Bank and Feeding America.
