By Joshua Caplan

https://www.breitbart.com/author/joshua-caplan/

Former Vice President Joe Biden claimed during a Sunday campaign event that “we’re all dead” if fossil fuels continue to be used as one of the world’s primary energy sources.

>>Biden made the apocalyptic pronouncement while discussing climate change before a crowd of supporters in Peterborough, New Hampshire.

What a fucking moron.

If we stopped using fossil fuels, more than 3/4th the energy the entire planet consumes, the globe would face loss of transportation services and massive shortages and then we really would have a serious death toll problem!

Nope. Well over half of all energy comes from 'fossil fuel' today, such as oil, shale and coal. Like it or not. You don't understand economics do you?

Banning oil = stalling semi-trucks = removing transportation of goods to stock shelves in all the stores!

Banning oil = not being able to heat or cool your own home (unless your municipality can afford wind, solar or nuclear power)

Banning oil = banning more than half of the products which are made from, or with, petrochemicals.

Banning coal = removing a good amount of energy around the nation, which would cost taxpayers a TON to replace with solar or wind or nuclear.

Also the BIGGEST PROBLEM – banning oil = destroying the US Dollar which is a global reserve currency … backed by what? International oil trade!

And yet, I haven't seen any denials of Biden's claim. That claim being that continuing the way we are, burning fossil fuels as a primary energy source, would spell out death of some sort. It's unclear as to whether he means because we'll run out eventually, or if by climate change and its effects, or some combination of the two. But if its the first, then it would mean he agrees that they're a critical in today's world, and as such when we run out, all the things mentioned previously will happen

I agree that pollution is real and will have devastating effects on our planet. How will importing millions of third world migrants onto the already strained power grid, heavily polluted, consumerist first world affect our global climate? Everyone in the world wants a Starbucks, McDonalds, and a Ford F350. What will happen when the lights finally go out in Chicago, New York, London, and Paris? Billions of people will die. Once it begins, I expect a NEW PLAGUE, far worse than the Black Death that ravaged Europe because our bodies have grown accustomed to medicine and antibiotics. Europe and the US will look like a frozen Mad Max wasteland. Billions will flee the north to escape freezing to death, malnourished and sick, they'll take their diseases and plague with them back to the tropical zones and warmer nations that they came from. In hot humid nations like Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, the middle east, the plague will spread like influenza on steroids. There won't be enough medicine. Without the European or American economies or free trade, most of the world will die. Perhaps some Continents like China, Australia, South America, will be able to stop all immigration and defend their borders. Billions of so called "climate refugees" will have to be gunned down and ships sank to stop the spread of the Climate Plague, but it's the only way these places will be able to survive. I expect the world population will be cut in half, at minimum. Maybe then, after half of mankind has died, the Earth can begin to heal.

A grim prediction, and regardless of hyperbole or not, shouldn't something be done about it? I mean, why sit on our hands and wait for the possible destruction of mankind? Or if you're less pessimistic, in a sense, the destruction of a lot of the environment and maybe even permanent damage to the Earth. I mean if it's even a possibility then why not try to avoid it?

And if you don't think climate change is true then there's no way I could convince you anymore than the enormous amount of evidence behind it, but still: why not try to break free of fossil fuels, if only to escape such a dependency on a limited resource being rapidly depleted?

Let's make it illegal to burn gasoline and coal then. Oh wait that'd destroy the economy. I guess we have to make a compromise. Oh wait the best economic compromise is to not regulate fossil fuels at all. Liberals are dumb faggots.

Listen, I'm no economist, but I don't think preventing coal/gas burning would destroy the economy. Gasoline, or oil rather, is too widely used; its burning is only one such, and I'd wager plastics are the bigger industry anyway. Again, not much ethos on me, but coal isn't as important as it once was either. But there's not a chance in hell the world would stop cold turkey. So yes, a compromise sounds nice. But what makes not regulating the BEST economic compromise, if a compromise at all? And even if it were, the idea of a compromise is moderation. It doesn't have to be no oil/coal vs no restrictions. That's what a compromise is. And sometimes, what's in the best interests of the economical world aren't in the best interests of the world…world

When 98+ % of vehicles (transportation) around the world still relies on gas, you'll need oil, it's just that simple. If we were to outright ban that commodity it would cripple the supply chain: from services to goods. Let me give you an example: every single week grocery stores rely on semi trucks to deliver their goods to re-supply the inventories in their stores. If you banned oil, those semi-trucks would be going no where. That means grocery stores all around the US would run out of supplies within one week. Also, 98% of the population wouldn't be able to drive to work. "Inb4 just ride a bike." No. Millions of people live 20+ minutes away from their jobs, driving distance. Imagine telling millions of out-of-shape Americans they'll have to ride their bikes an hour to work and back, up hills and all. It won't happen. You are living in fantasy land if you think this will change anytime soon. As for electric vehicles yes they have potential but at this point there are no where near enough on the market and trying to force mass adoption of them would require a mass revenue stream someone would be forced to pay for (taxpayers).

That said, we can adopt alternative energies and technology but you have to let it roll out gradually without intervention, allowing individuals and businesses to adopt it at their convenience rather than trying to force it unwillingly.

>>251733

Another part of the problem with all this, notice how all these politicians will exempt themselves and cronies. They'll fly their private jets that use 10x the energy but bark at us for driving cars. We'd be forced to deal with all the unintended consequences of such awful policies and pay for the expenses (and censored and ridiculed as 'conspiracy theorists' when we dare point fingers at them for the mess they cause unto us).

It won't help if you don't get rid of the cow farts, the methane is worse than burning oil. Grow beef in a lab from stem cells, problem solved. And then bring down human population, we need to get rid of six billion people. Science has warned about this for more that 25 years. But no one want to talk about the animals.

go shill that to non-whites.

also it's not 25 years, it was warned about in the 70's (circle of rome) and conclusions were to sterilize en masse the brown hordes.

being not wayciss prevailed, because leftards are the kind of spineless maggots that get defeated by a single word, and get absolutely ass-blasted whenever someone doesn't, as it reveal them for what they are.

because that's the reality of leftards, their single core value, the cult of the brown monkey.

The funniest thing about Biden? He already lost the election. Thanks to Hillary in 2016 and Pocacuntus & CNN during the debate, Bernie is now the Democrat's version of Trump. He's now seen as the underdog fighting the corrupt media instead of a bat-shit crazy communist and will most likely get the nod at the dem convention.
