The thing is that the US economy is kind of cyclical where you get recession and growth, in 15-25 year cycles aproximately, and varying in size. The idea is also that a crisis has the "air of change" that is necessary for revolution to occur. It's a widespread idea really, if you have read it you'll recall it from Tarrant's manifesto. I read an online post calculating the big collapse between 2025 and 2040, and an economic crisis of the US in the lower part of that bracket ('22~26).

I also have a gut feeling about it being in that range, for what that matters.

It's not like shying away from action either, things like Tarrant are praised, more for the effects (polarization, increase of tension) it has on society than the act itself, though it is praised as such. This is talked about on Siege so unironically please read it. I will give you a rundown of it's points, but read it pls.

The idea is that either you go all out in an attack against the System to "heighten the contradictions", or you try to distance yourself from it as much as possible so when it enters crisis/collapse you aren't taken with it and can act. The System is sold as "a rotting paper bag of trash being held up whose wet bottom is just waiting to fall off". In such context accelerating the decay is good, that is, the fall of institutions and cohesion and the fragmentation of society, and economic failure and such.

This builds on the fact that the System is irreformable to their (our) ideals and that moving the masses is impossible, given how they have become, or made into, spiritual bourjua, and thus will not oppose any system as long as it gives them the basics, together with other factors.

It advocates the use of decentralized, leaderless organizations, composed of small cells (say 3-6 friends), which are by their nature impossible to subvert, each member being an embodiment of the worldview. I don't remember if this point I read on Siege specifically though, still, it holds true. (AWD kind of failed at this given how it was centralized and ultimately it was a door for subversion)

Beyond that, Siege gives various tips on how to manage to not be fucked by the feds and keep away the larpers.

Also, in a kind of unrelated note, the revolution must start in the USA. If the opportunity -read civil war scenario- appears anywhere first, the USA world police will make sure the only regime that comes out of it is loyal to them. It is also worth pointing out that the USA's destabilization will have ripple effects on the rest of the world, probably starting such situations around the globe.

I would say it's almost too many, hence the hard cap. Get much bigger than 100 men, and suddenly you have to worry about so much more than before (you would essentially be your own town, and that means legal issues). Anyone can declare themselves a nation - a nation is just a group of people and land to cultivate. That's literally the only two things you need. European nations are unique in that they have allowed themselves to fracture so remarkably, and in an age with mass media. Americans can have European ancestry, but that doesn't mean they give two shits about the Queen or British parliament. They simply have no loyalty to that heritage. Australia is in a similar situation, being an independent colony, although they again have their own domestic issues to care about before they give two shits about the Queen.

In your system, I would own and run an old folks home, and a crematorium. There are no groups of people in your system who would care or notice these deaths, as families would be made for convenience, and children would be taught to live for themselves as well (there probably wouldn't even be such a thing as a nuclear family to notice that a member was murdered). As long as I didn't try to steal shit from their wills, I would get away with my death party resort forever - with the right advertisements, I would never have a vacancy.

In a society that cares about continuity, and taking care of their own family in old age, such a thing would be far more difficult to make. There are failsafes in society that solve problems that you don't even know exist until you remove them.

Don't import. Choose a starting set, and that's it. Don't allow any outside influence after that. This sounds more like how to make a civnat state, a paperwork-nation. It also feels like putting the cart before the horse, the people work together, organize into coherent groups, because they are united through nation (i.e. blood). Even more, such groups imply a blood relation (like tribes and such, which later are organized into proper nations, (based on the underlying connection among the tribes) a la Allemanni or Mongols).

The most basic definition of nation has two basic characteristics, shared blood, shared culture -culture in the deeper sense, not popculture- (though I believe there's more than that, e.g. soul of the nation). iirc Spengler said that the nation takes reference to the land in which it developed.

Though I'll admit that states might perhaps work as artificial barriers that separate the people thence facilitating ethnogenesis, though the blood connection and at least the basis of underlying culture is still required. Even then it might not happen. And I can give at least one example (riverplatean culture) of cultures crossing states. A state could try to give the conditions for a nation to form but most of the time it doesn't work (look for example at the argentine state trying to do just that and failing, where there are at least two vestigial nations in the territory and some transcending it, instead of a single one like intended).
