Just go with your first instinct and make one, and decide its merit after that. Most of all, a sona will be a character that you intend to present to other people - like a character from a Looney Tunes cartoon. So ideally it should be visually engaging somehow - funny, or cute, or sexy, or spooky, or what have you.
